After being taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building for processing after an alleged domestic incident, a Clayton man reportedly had marijuana in his shoe discovered during a pat down.
Brad J. West, 38, of 16192 Route 11, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies at 11:40 a.m. Saturday on multiple charges, including a felony charge of criminal contempt, after he allegedly spit on a woman.
The woman, Dawn M. LaClair, same address, had an order of protection against Mr. West issued out of Town Court in October.
According to deputies, a small glass pipe containing burnt marijuana was discovered at the residence, as well as a small, clear baggie that was discovered in the jail booking area.
He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, two counts of unlawful possession of marijuana, second-degree promoting prison contraband and second-degree harassment.
Mr. West was arraigned in Watertown City Court and held at the jail on $1,000 cash bail.
