PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Mary A. Willmart, 30, of County Route 24, Colton, with one count of petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 5:08 p.m. Monday at the Potsdam Walmart. Willmart is alleged to have walked past the store’s last point of sale without paying for over $80 worth of merchandise, including DVDs and food items.She was released on an appearance ticket for Potsdam Town Court.



PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Joely Acosta, 19, and Gissel M. McCrimmon, 19, both students with addresses on SUNY Canton campus, with one count of petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 8:24 p.m. Monday at the Potsdam Walmart. They reportedly walked past the store’s last point of sale without paying for over $475 worth of cosmetic items. They were released on appearance tickets for Potsdam Town Court.



AGGRAVATED ANIMAL CRUELTY - ST. REGIS FALLS - Malone-based state police charged Shawna A. Bero, 29, of Hogansburg with aggravated cruelty to animals Monday following an investigation into a dog complaint filed with troopers on Jan. 6 from the town of Waverly.



CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Nicole C. Allen, 35, of North Bangor with second-degree criminal contempt Monday following an investigation into a domestic dispute claim filed with troopers at 6:18 p.m. Feb. 26 from the town of Moira. Troopers had previously charged Thomas P. Nesbitt, 35, of North Bangor with criminal obstruction of breathing, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief - damaging property and preventing an emergency phone call and second-degree harassment in connection with that same investigation. Nesbitt had been charged for his role in the incident on Feb. 27.



DWI - BOMBAY - Malone-based state police charged Michael George, 68, of Hogansburg with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 5:18 p.m. Monday on state Route 37, near state Route 37C, in the town of Bombay.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - LISBON - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Brandon D. Dority, 26, of Lisbon with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for failure to notify of the DMV of an address change and an equipment violation for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate exhaust at 6:40 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on the Cemetery Road in the town of Lisbon.
