City woman charged in domestic disturbance

After a domestic incident at her apartment, a Watertown woman was charged with felony criminal contempt and harassment after she allegedly struck and grabbed the face of a man.

Michelle R. Ricks, 40, of 423 Prospect St., Apt. A, was arrested at the residence she shares with Steven T. Conroy at 10:33 p.m. Monday. City police accused her of intentionally grabbing and striking Mr. Conroy’s face.

The alleged harassment violated an order of protection Mr. Conroy had issued on Feb. 2 out of City Court. Ms. Ricks was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment after an alleged domestic dispute between her and Mr. Conroy in October.

She was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, and second-degree harassment. She was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $5,000 cash bail.
