Clarkson’s Coleman unanimous league all-star


POTSDAM — Clarkson University’s John Coleman, a former Potsdam high school player, was a unanimous Liberty League first-team selection Monday as the league announced its men’s basketball all-star teams.

The junior averaged 19.7 points per game, good for third in the league. His 512 points are third-highest in Clarkson single-season history, and he led the conference in field-goal percentage (58.2).

Clarkson senior Marques Charlton and sophomore Felix Abongo made the league’s second team. Charlton, the Golden Knights’ co-captain, averaged 17.3 points per game. Abongo averaged 14 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

n Clarkson sophomore Ashley Loggins received Liberty League second-team mention. Loggins finished sixth in the league with 15 points per game. Teammates Cara Manfredi and Stephanie Grobe were honorable mention league picks.
