Students from Saranac Lake, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg competed in Odyssey of the Mind Region 8 competition at Ogdensburg Free Academy Saturday.

The following finalists from Saturday’s competition will participate in the New York State Odyssey of the Mind Competition on April 12 at SUNY Binghamton:

- Students from Petrova Elementary School, Saranac Lake, will advance after scoring 295 points in the “Driver’s Test” Division I category.

- Students from Ogdensburg Free Academy Program A will advance after scoring 344.53 points in the “Not-So-Haunted House” Division I category.

- Students from Saranac Lake Middle School will advance after scoring 330 points in the “Driver’s Test” Division II category.

- Ogdensburg City School District Program A will advance after scoring 344.53 points in the “Not-So-Haunted House” Division 1 category.

- Gouverneur Central School Team A will advance after scoring 300.32 points in the “Not-So-Haunted-House” Division II category.

- Ogdensburg Free Academy Program I will advance after scoring 350 in the the “Not-So-Haunted House” Division III category.

- Students from Petrova Elementary School will advance after scoring 350 points in the “It’s How We Rule” Division I category.

- Students from Saranac Lake Middle school will advance after scoring 346 in the “It’s How We Rule” Division II category.

- Saranac Lake Free Library will advance after scoring 200 in the “Stackable Structure” Division III category.

- Gouverneur Central School Team A will advance after scoring 333.23 in the “Seeing is Believing” Division I category.

- Saranac Lake Middle School Students will advance after scoring 349 points in the “Seeing is Believing” Division II category.
