DWI - POTSDAM - Village police charged Makayla E. Kelley, 19, of Harpursville with driving while intoxicated and ticketed her for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 2:16 a.m. Friday following a traffic stop on Pierrepont Avenue. She reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Police said they stopped Kelley after they observed her driving with no headlights on.

FRAUDULENT ID - POTSDAM - Village police charged Nathaniel S. Smart, 19, of Marcellus with possession/use a forged/fictitious/illegally obtained license at 8:46 p.m. Friday after responding to a complaint of a person attempting to purchase alcohol with another person’s driver’s license at a store at the Seacomm Plaza, Market Street.

OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Ferdinand Waibel, 23, of Richford, Vt., with an open container violation at 11:20 p.m. Friday after officers observed him in possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage while walking on the Clarkson University Campus Access Road by the Science Center.

OPEN CONTAINER - POTSDAM - Village police charged Sarah P. Nichols, 19, of Wolfsboro, N.H., with littering and an open container violation at

11:50 p.m, Friday on Maple Street. Police said an officer observed Nichols throw an item on the ground and upon further investigation it was determined that the item was an open container of an alcoholic beverage.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Raul Felipe, 40, of Brooklyn with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for making an unsafe lane change at 11:03 a.m. Friday after responding to a complaint that a vehicle was moving in and out of traffic and passing vehicles erratically, nearly colliding with other vehicles.
