UTICA — Tyler Young knocked in a rebound after Devin Page’s slap shot on a fastbreak to give Massena a 2-1 victory in overtime Saturday during the state Division I hockey semifinals at the Memorial Auditorium.

Young’s goal came 3 minutes, 50 seconds into overtime and sent Massena to the championship game, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

In the final, Massena will take on Ithaca, which defeated Scarsdale 6-4 in the other semifinal.

Massena (18-5-2) rallied from an early 1-0 deficit, scoring with 3 seconds left in the first period on a shot by Patrick Manning to tie the game 1-1. The teams played scoreless hockey until Young’s overtime goal.
