Tri-Town Pee Wees advance to state title

AMHERST - The Tri-Town pee wees downed Bronxville 3-1 Sunday morning to advance to the Tier III U-12 state championship game at 2 p.m. today.

Jah Robertson, Noah Adams and Jarrett St. Hilaire scored for the winners.

Tri-Town will be facing a rematch against the only team in the tournament that has beat them this weekend. Palisades dropped Tri-Town by a 6-2 margin Saturday evening. Palisades outskated Saranac Lake in Sunday’s other semi-final matchup Sunday morning.



Three other teams from the Massena area were also vying for a shot to play in the state championshp game this morning.



The defending New York state Tier II U-14 St. Lawrence Thunder were facing off against Westchester Vipers in a semi-final matchup. The winner will face the victor of the other semi-final game between neighborhood foes Syracuse and Camillus.



There will be a northern zone representative in the Tier III U-14 championship game. Louisville and Tri-Town were vying in a neighborhood semi-final matchup seven hours from home with the winner earning a chance to play either Onondaga or Cortland.



Canton skated to a 1-2 in the Tier II U-12 tournament and did not advance to championship Sunday.

Canton sandwiched an 8-1 victory over the Buffalo Bisonsaround a 4-0 loss to New Hartford and a 5-3 setback to Aviator Hockey.
