Jefferson County sheriffs deputies arrested Nicholas M. Countryman, 18, of 20848 Shepard St., on a warrant alleging that he violated the terms of his probation.
Mr. Countryman was arrested on the warrant issued out of Jefferson County Court at 10:46 a.m. Monday. He is being held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment in County Court.
In January 2013, Mr. Countryman pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon after he stole a handgun from a vehicle and then possessed the weapon. He was sentenced on those charges on Feb. 13, 2013, to six months in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and five years probation.
