City police early Sunday morning arrested Desmond T. Roberts Sr., 26, of 30802 Route 3, Felts Mills, on multiple charges stemming from an alleged incident in the city Sunday morning.
Police said Mr. Roberts was at the residence of Bobbi J. Long, 320 Winslow St., at around 1 a.m. when he allegedly put both hands around her neck, causing her to be unable to breathe. Police said Mr. Roberts also punched Ms. Long in the face and prevented her from calling police by taking her cell phone and throwing it against a wall, breaking it.
He was arrested at the Winslow Street residence at 1:54 a.m. and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, arraigned in City Court and released on $250 cash bail.
