Thank you friends and family, classmates and teammates of Michael Bolesh.
We knew that our son, Michael, was an exceptional man. But in the days since his death, we have been given so many more glimpses into just how wonderful he was. Friends have told us that he did not brag about himself nor shun those with less skill; instead, he reached out to include them.
With a smile and a kind or kidding word, he led by quiet example. Calling or texting in later years to talk to a friend, not to talk about himself but to see how they were doing. Thank you for sharing those memories with us.
So many of you have reached out to offer support, a kind word, a hug, a card, e-mail, text or phone call. Condolences were sent to the funeral homes and the newspapers. Flowers upon flowers, donated food and in lieu of flowers, contributions to Torrington Youth Soccer and so many other ways. These are so very important in our healing and to yours.
Now that we are members of the worst club possible, every parents worse nightmare, we realize that one cannot imagine the depth of pain that all too many parents in our small community have experienced. We know also that so many are grieving with us, support and caring; we appreciate it and hope that we can give back. Thank you.
This you know, To have a child is forever to have your heart walk outside your body.
Chuck and Sue Bolesh, on behalf of the family of Michael Bolesh
