Jayne Strigle of South Lewis was one of three Frontier League players named to the Section 3 All-CNY volleyball team.

The senior libero was also chosen player of the year for Class C and was joined by teammate Chloe Stinebrickner and Beaver River’s Melissa Hunt on the All-CNY team, as voted on by the Section 3 coaches committee.

Stinebrickner, a junior setter, and Strigle helped guide Class C-1 champion South Lewis to the overall Class C championship with a victory over league foe and Class C-2 champion Beaver River. South Lewis coach Ashley Gino was chosen as coach of the year for Class C.

Other Class C all-stars are Madison Compton of Beaver River and Kylee Martin of Sandy Creek.

Class B selections include Janessa Vaadi, Jackie Decker and Leah Denny of South Jefferson and Isabelle Hanno of Lowville.

Class A all-stars from the Frontier League are Claire Sauter of Carthage and Stacia Wallace of Watertown.
