BEAVER FALLS The Beaver River Central School Board of Education will hold an election for three vacancies on the seven-member board.
Up for election are two five-year seats, held by Christine Lashbrooks and David Meyer, both of Croghan, and a three-year seat held by Bobby Cobb, New Bremen. People interested in running for a vacancy need to meet the following requirements: be a U.S. citizen, reside in the school district for one year before the election and be at least 18 years old.
Candidates can pick up a nominating petition from District Clerk Shauna Rice at the district office.
Twenty-five signatures from Beaver River Central School District residents are required for the nominating petitions, which are due to Mrs. Rice by 5 p.m. April 17.
Voting will take place May 20, coinciding with the annual budget vote.
