Robert J. Gotham, 26, of 212 Route 11, Apt. B, Gouverneur, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. Thursday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on a charge that he possessed hydromorphone at Rite Aid. According to city police, Mr. Gotham possessed a glass vial of the substance, a schedule II narcotic, at Rite Aid, 315 Arsenal St., at 4:30 p.m. that day.
He was taken to the jail and held on $500 bail pending arraignment in City Court.
Additionally, Mr. Gotham has active warrants through the Utica and New Hartford police departments. Those departments may be interested in extraditing him on those warrants, police said.
