I found it amusing that Councilwoman Roxanne Burns is crying foul over fowl. The flock of black crows leaving their calling cards at her door may be considered symbolic retribution for the number of constituents she has let down in her stormy, sensational tenure as a City Council member. I am one of them.
At least three years ago, she assured me action with District Attorney Cindy Inschert over a personal matter and still has in her possession my original paperwork. She has ignored numerous phone calls and polite correspondence to return my personal effects.
Inquiry to the mayors office informed me that no one but the taxpayers (voters) have authority over council members and that I would have to hire a lawyer to obtain my paperwork form Ms. Burns.
I feel this is a foul set of circumstances.
Ms. Burns needs to acknowledge her promises to the voters. I have spoken with others she has befriended for volunteer work and other favors, then she would flip and disappear. The city should have clear impeachment measures for gross negligence of duties and personal misconduct while in office.
Thankfully, Ms. Burnss personal troubles over the last months hopefully negate her ever serving on the council again.
