AMHERST - It was a heartbreaker for the Louisville 18Us who saw their dreams for a state championship end in a 3-2 loss to Bear Mountain in the second overtime Sunday afternoon.

Louisville had earned a trip to the championship game by edging Saranac Lake 5-4, while Bear Mountain had also gone into overtime in the semis to down Great Neck 3-2.

Louisville beat Fulton 7-1, Mohawk Valley 2-1 and Great Neck 3-1 in the tournament’s preliminary round.
