No contested races in Lewis County village elections Tuesday

March village elections in Lewis County will be held today, though all seats remain uncontested.

In Copenhagen, two open Board of Trustees seats are expected to go to the only two candidates, Gary L. Parker and Scott L. Alexander. Mr. Alexander has served on the board since 2000. Mr. Parker served on the board from 1993 to 2012.

In Lowville, Justice Patricia H. Yarina is running to retain her position with no opposition.

In Turin, Mayor Douglas Hunt is running unopposed for another four-year term, while Joshua Leviker is the sole candidate for an open trustee seat.

Castorland and Croghan also conduct March elections, but neither village has any races this year.

The remaining villages in the county conduct November elections.
