Honored: Lisbon Central School senior Lindsey Remington has been named the Board of Cooperative Educational Services’ Student of the Month for March by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce. She received a certificate of achievement from BOCES and a Chamber Dollars check from the Chamber of Commerce. Miss Remington is enrolled in the culinary arts program at BOCES and recently won the top prize in a cooking and baking competition at Paul Smith’s College, Cooking for Scholarships. She will receive a $7,000 scholarship for each year she attends the college, for up to four years. Her goal is to open her own bakery in the north country.

Volunteered: Katherine Christy, Canton, was one of 13 students from the College of St. Rose, Albany, who spent an alternative spring break in New Orleans, La., helping citizens of the city to continue to rebuild in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
