Olga E. Canori, 88, of Dorsey Street, passed away March 16, 2014 at Summit Village.

Mrs. Canori was born February 26, 1926 in Benghazi, Libya, a daughter of Vincenzo and Giovanna Corallo Sinacori. She attended school in Libya and resided in Rome, Italy with her aunt after WWII before coming to the United States on October 27, 1956.

Coming to the United States by the request of her sister Clara, living with her family for eight years before her marriage. She was especially close to her sister Clara and nephew Richard.

On April 4, 1964 she married Leonard J. Canori at St. Anthony’s Church with Reverend Bennett officiating. Mr. Canori died May 17, 1997.

Mrs. Canori was an inspector for Chesebrough-Pond’s for fourteen years, retiring in 1971. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.

Surviving are two sisters; her dear sister, Clara Canori, Watertown, Irene Russino, Rome, Italy, one brother: Aldo Sinacori, Rome, Italy, among her several nieces and nephews are Clara’s children; Richard, Joanne and Gary. A brother Adriano died before her.

A funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family by request of her dear sister Clara and dear nephew Richard.
