State police charged Joshua J. Barkley, 23, of 434 Belmont Court, Ogdensburg, with fourth-degree grand larceny after he allegedly took items from the Walmart, Route 3, Watertown.

Police said he took clothing, sandals, snow pants, a toaster oven, a Keurig coffee maker and other household items, valued at $1,081.

Charged at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Route 37, Pamelia, he was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $1,000 bail.
