All services for Helen A. LaRose, 79, of 1204 Superior Street, Watertown will be at TLC Funeral Home, Inc. and will be private. Mrs. LaRose died March 20, 2014 at the Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born on April 5, 1934 at home in Watertown, the daughter of Ralph and Ethel LaForty Cratsenberg. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1952. She married Herbert A. LaRose on June 23, 1958 in Elktown, Maryland with Rev. George Leural, Jr. officiating.

Mrs. LaRose was an administrative assistant at the Hall of Names in Watertown until she retired on February 24, 1995. She enjoyed collecting teacups, crafts, crocheting, reading and enjoyed socializing with family and friends.

Donations can be made in her name the Jefferson County SPCA or the Watertown Firefighters Benevolent Association at 224 S. Massey Street, Watertown, New York 13601.

She is survived by her son Clifford LaRose of Calcium, her daughter Laura LaRose of Watertown and her stepson Gary LaRose of Watertown. Also surviving is her brother William Cratsenburg of Watertown, 10 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A brother Douglas Cratsenburg and her husband Herbert died before her.
