RESISTING ARREST - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged charged Courtney L. Garris, 25, of Massena with resisting arrest Saturday when she slammed a door on police while they were attempting to take her into custody on a bench warrant from Malone.

Garris was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released after posting $250 bail. After consultation with the Malone court, she was released on her own recognizance on the warrant to appear there on March 25.

Malone-based state police had charged Garris with petit larceny on Feb. 18 stemming an investigation into a shoplifting incident reported to troopers at 12:45 p.m. Feb. 17. Troopers said thatarrest had been made at 259 County Route 43 in Massena.
