POTSDAM - SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music is proud to host the U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors for a special guest performance at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall.

The Jazz Ambassadors are the U.S. Army’s premier touring big band, traveling thousands of miles each year to present jazz to enthusiastic audiences throughout the nation and worldwide.

As a component of the U.S. Army Field Band, the Jazz Ambassadors take great pride in reflecting the excellence of the nation’s soldiers, in performances across America and around the globe.

The program will consist of selections from artists such as Charlie Mingus, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Wayne Shorter, Cole Porter, Jelly Roll Morton, Leonard Bernstein and many more. In addition, there will be patriotic favorites and a salute to veterans at the concert.
