Massena man charged with criminal impersonation

NORFOLK — State police on Monday charged Corey J. Kellison, 29, of 103 Woodlawn Ave., with second-degree criminal impersonation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Troopers allege that Mr. Kellison attempted to avoid a U.S. Border Patrol check point on Route 56 when he was stopped by agents at about 9:43 p.m. During the stop, Mr. Kellison allegedly had a registration sticker and license plates that belonged to two different vehicles and he gave agents a relative’s name. Upon further investigation and questioning, he ended up giving his real name and it was discovered that he had a suspended license, troopers said.

Mr. Kellison was additionally ticketed for operation of an uninspected, unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, operation of a vehicle with improper plates and failure to attach the correct registration sticker.

Mr. Kellison was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
