CANTON — Marc Perroni scored twice to lead a balanced attack as the St. Lawrence University men’s lacrosse team scratched out an 8-7 nonconference victory over SUNY Geneseo on Tuesday afternoon.

Nick Ford made 12 saves, including a kick-save in the final seconds, for the Saints (5-1). Charlie Jennings and Jeremy Vautour each added a goal and an assist for SLU.

Joe Chiara led all scorers with three goals and Steve Cregan netted two goals for the Blue Knights (2-3).

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

SUNY POTSDAM 16, CONCORDIA (WIS.) 11

Michaela Cole scored her first four collegiate goals as the Bears topped the Falcons in the Spring Fling tournament at West Palm Beach, Fla.

Bri McClusky supplied three goals and Margaret Wall chipped in with two goals and two assists for SUNY Potsdam (3-2). Sammi Reiter was the game’s high-scorer with five goals for Concordia of Wisconsin (4-1).

SOFTBALL

SUNY POTSDAM LOSES TWICE

The Bears lost games against St. Catherine’s (Minn.), 14-3, and Wisconsin-Oskosh, 9-2, in the Dot Richardson tournament at Clermont, Fla.

SUNY Potsdam finishes up with games today against Elmhurst (Ill,) and Concordia (Wis.)
