Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 21-year-old Pamelia woman early Friday after she allegedly stabbed her husband with a broken beer bottle during a domestic dispute.

Aminata L. Omuriuki, 25403 Route 3, was charged by deputies with second-degree assault and second-degree menacing at 12:25 a.m. Friday in the town of Pamelia.

She is accused of using the broken bottle to stab Denis Omuriuki, 25, in his stomach about 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies said Mr. Omuriuki received stitches for the “serious” cut on his stomach at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown and was released Friday morning.

Mrs. Omuriuki was arraigned in the Pamelia Town Court and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on a $5,000 bail.
