PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Amy M. Hamilton, 29, of Ogdensburg with petit larceny and trespassing after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 2:45 p.m. Friday at the Potsdam Walmart.

HARASSMENT - CANTON - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Elaine A. Frederick, 56, of Norfolk with second-degree harassment Friday morning following an investigation into an incident reported Jan. 14 in the town of Canton.

FORGED INSTRUMENT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged John A. Caskinette, 40, of Hogansburg with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and two counts of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing. He reportedly filed false paperwork with the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles. Caskinette was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released under the supervision of the probation department.

DWI - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Joshua R. LaDuke, 33, of Massena with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for making an illegal turn for utilizing the signal less than 100 feet from the turn at 2:11 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on state Route 37 in the town of Massena.

DWI - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Orlanda C. White, 29, of Hogansburg with driving while intoxicated and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway and ticketed her for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle at 5:40 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Water Street in the town of Fort Covington.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Melissa B. Wheeler, 27, of Moira with unlawful possession of marijuana following an incident at 9:35 p.m. Friday following an incident at 9:35 p.m. Friday on the Hazen Road in the town of Moira.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - CANTON - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Friday. Among those:

■ Melanie Joy Kimbler, 41, of Potsdam at 9:06 p.m. on state Route 68, near Dollar Road, on state Route 68, near Dollar Road, in the town of Lisbon.

■ Jacqueline A. Sovie, 18, of Ogdensburg and Steven D. Parmeter, 38, of Lisbon at 8:22 a.m. on County Route 28 at the Five Mile Line Road, in the town of Lisbon.

■ James P. Turbett, 63, of Potsdam at 9:59 a.m. on County Route 24, near Snow School Road, in the town of Bellmont.
