Two forged checks led to five charges for a city man, according to Watertown city police.
Timothy J. Barajas, 37, 208 Flower Ave. East, allegedly forged the name of Rebecca E. Connell, 643 Academy St., Apt. 1, on two separate checks written to himself, both for $80, police said. He is accused of cashing the checks from Ms. Connells AmeriCU account at two different Watertown Savings Bank locations.
Mr. Barajas was charged at 8:40 p.m. Friday with three counts of misdemeanor petit larceny and two felony counts of second-degree forgery. He was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment.
