MASSENA — John A. Caskinette, 40, of Hogansburg, was charge by state police with second-degree possession of a forged instrument and second-degree offering a false instrument for filing on Friday afternoon.

Police said Douglas J. Judware, North Lawrence, sold his truck to Mr. Caskinette, but never signed the title; Mr. Caskinette allegedly forged his signature, they said.

He was released under supervision of probation and scheduled to appear in Village Court.
