LOWVILLE Village police charged William R. Stevens, 42, of 7616 Park Ave., with disorderly conduct, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest following an alleged domestic dispute on Monday.
Police said they responded to reports of a dispute between Mr. Stevens and a female in which he allegedly struck her. When police arrived, he repeatedly stated he was going to kill her, police said.
Mr. Stevens then physically struggled with police as they attempted to take him into custody.
He was sent to Lewis County jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
Members of the Lewis County Sheriffs Department and the state Department of Environmental Conservation assisted on the scene.
