Raiders win Ogdensburg Youth Bowling

The Raiders and The Ravens finished the season tied for wins at 59.5 but the pin race was much difference as 369 pins more was enough for the title for the Silver and Black in the Ogdensburg Bowl Youth Bowling Senior League.

Tyler Lytle averaged 148 on the season and 11172 pins on the season in 75 games leading the Raiders trio which consisted of Lyle LaRose (75-10138 135 average) and Jaxen LaPiene (57-5890, 103) to a 62621 total pin effort.

Chelsey Raven’s 136 average and 8586 pins in 63 games paced the Ravens runner up performance as Abby Raven (75-8194, 109), Brandy Sharland (72-7829, 108), Rileigh Planty (51-5538, 108), and Cassie Breen (66-6435, 97 average) rounded out the club who finished 62252 pins on the season.

Third place went to the Steelers with 56 wins and 62896 pins. Alicia Sharpe’s 108 average (55-5975) paced the team with Adrianha Parks (75-7589, 101), Natalie Crofut (69-6251, 90) and Scylor McGuire (58-4468, 77).

The Saints posted 51.5 wins on the year and 62311 pins for fourth behind the bowling of Travis Pike (72-10250, 142 ave.), Spencer Woodard (75-10551, 140), Kaitlyn Reynolds (66-8604, 130), and Jordan VanCort (63-4906, 87).

Fifth place was awarded to the Giants with 49 wins and 62920 pins as Gerald Sovie paced the team with a 126 average in 75 games for 9479 pins. Rounding out the Giants club were: Cody George (72-5160, 71), Tyler Beaulieu(72-6038, 83), Chris Bromley (69-7989, 115), Cody Jones (63-5856, 92).

The Eagles came home in sixth place with 62,920 pins and 47 wins. Masen LaPiene (72-8181, 113), Brendan Gibson (75-5672, 75), Tyler George (51-4788 93), Kianna Conger (66-5137, 77) and Lee Sovie (72-6657, 92) made up the team.

The Packers and Titans finished seventh and eighth but in a tight duel which saw the Pack earn the top spot by half a points 45.5-45. The Packers team (62778) consisted of Jakob Sampson (75-7826, 104), Andrew Smith (69-6409, 92), Rhiley Adams (58-4244, 73), Corbin Durham (75-7766, 103), and Todd Carroll (72-7440, 103).

Jacob Love (52-6394. 122), Cote Bidwell (75-8501, 113), Zach Bidwell (75-8885, 118), Chris Lovely (75-10684, 142), and Jessica Payne (75-9283, 123) finished eighth for the Titans with 45 wins and 61443 pins.

Placing ninth and 10th were the Seahawks (37 wins, 61619 pins) and Cowboys (34 wins, 61826 pins). Leading the Seahawks were: Jacob Sharpe (60-7089, 118), Nick Vielhauer (48-5302, 110), Taylor Smith (48-8239, 171), Jordan Miller (36-4906, 136), and Zach Worden (75-11712, 156). The Cowboys were composed of Ryan Carroll (66-8244, 124), Thomas Weir (69-7095, 114), Elijah Downie (60-8200, 136), and Brandon Bogart (69-10105, 146).

Special awards went to: Lyle LaRose (High Single, 224), Kaitlyn Reynolds (High Single, 211), Zach Worden (High Ave. 156.16), Kiana Conger (Most Improved 22.83 pins), Tyler Lytle (High Triple, 553), Chelsey Raven (High Triple, 553), Taylor Smith (High Ave. 171.65), and Adrianna Parks (Most Improved, 18.19 pins).

Sixteen bowlers had perfect attendance including Dylan Sovie, Seth Sampson, Abby Raven, Spencer Woodard, Zach Worden, Adrianna Parks, Lyle LaRose, Tyler Lytle, Brendan Gibson, Jacob Sampson, Corbine Durham, Cote Bidwell, Zach Bidwell, Chris Lovely, Jessica Payne, and Gerald Sovie.

In the end of the year Jelly Bean Tournament, the Pink squad of Andrew Smith, Zach Worden, Abby Raven, and Lee Sovie won over Team Green of Zach Bidwell, Mason LaPiene, Brandon Bogart, and Travis Pike 2560-2471. Red (Cote Bidwell, Todd Carroll., Chris Bromley. Lyle LaRose) placed third for Team Red over Team White (Brendan Gibson, Jessie Payne, Adrianna Parks, Scylor McGuire) 2437-2419. Black (Tyler Beaulieu, Jakob Sampson, Cody Jones, Chelsea Raven) placed fifth with 2404 pins.

High Individual Average: Boys: Zach Worden 156.16, Tyler Lytle 148.96, Brandon Bogart 146. 45. Girls: Taylor Smith 171.65, Chelsey Raven 136.29, Kaitlyn Reynolds 130.36.

Most Improved: Boys: Kiana Conger 22.83, Spencer Woodard 15.68; Girls: Adrianha Parks 18.19, Natalie Crofut 13.59.
