MASSENA: Ronald E. Kallison, 74 of County Route 42, passed away on Monday (March 31, 2014) at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, VT. There will be no public calling hours for Ronald. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Massena Center Cemetery. He was born on July 4, 1939 in Massena, the son of the late Ernest and Bernice (Ober) Kallison. He graduated from Massena High School in 1956 and worked in construction for a short time. He then went on to work at Malone Bowl, Crow Sports and later became the owner of Western Auto in Malone. In his later years he worked at Wal-Mart assembling bicycles. Ronald is survived by a sister, Barbara and Bill Wright of Stockholm; brothers, Wayne and Connie Kallison of Massena, Don Kallison and Stan Kallison also of Massena; two nieces and four nephews; two great nephews and one great niece; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth J. Kallison and a sister, Beverly Osthejmer. While growing up Ronald enjoyed watching the NY Giants with his brothers ever since they were first televised in the 1950’s. He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially in the water on his boat.
