It appears that Judge Tormey once is again throwing his weight around.
He forced Lewis County to build a three-story albatross behind the old courthouse. It now contains three new courtrooms with all the trimmings at a cost of $10 million, give or take.
Mayor Graham, I am sure the county of Lewis would be willing to rent the city of Watertown one of its courtrooms. After all, they only use one, sometimes two, but never all three at the same time.
In the process of building this albatross for Judge Tormey, some county departments have been displaced out of the old courthouse. Now Lewis County is having a problem finding common ground for these displaced entities.
Bureaucracy is such a great thing. Dont you think?
