Wayne F Meister, 62 died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at his home in Gaithersburg Maryland.

Born May 20, 1951 in Lowville, New York, Wayne was the only son of the late Fred and Edna Meister. He enjoyed a wonderful childhood under the dedicated care of a doting mother. He received his early education at Lowville Academy and Central School, proud pupil of the class of 1969. Later, He attended Jefferson Community College for two (2) years. He then transferred to State University of New York at Potsdam ,where he graduated in 1973 with a B.A in Sociology. He furthered his education at Rochester Institute of Technology pursuing a M.B.A in Finance and Business. Wayne would also go on to obtained CLU, ChFC and MSM from The American College.

Throughout his adult life, up to the time of his death; he pursued a career in Insurance.

After along distance relationship spading twelve years, which originated in the Bahamas, Wayne made a decision and took Carla as his wife, on July 12, 2012.

He lived a relatively quiet life; rarely deviating from his regular routine. He never complained, despite the fact, he was faced with the challenges associated with his recovery from a mild stroke; that he suffered last year. He approached his recovery with fierce determination, anxious to regain his independence and resume the quality of life that that he was accustomed.

He is survived by his wife Carla, stepdaughter Kahlea, stepson Kermit. father-in-law James Pratt and mother-in-law Stephanie Pratt. A host of friends.

A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm at Sundquist Funeral home, 7676 North State Road, Lowville, New York

Burial will take place later in the spring, at Naumburg Union Cemetery.
