WILLIAMSTOWN—Two men, including a Watertown man, were arrested Thursday night after a traffic stop on Route 104 turned up numerous ingredients in methamphetamine production.

Michael A. Davis, 49, of 867 LeRay St., Watertown, and Daniel J. Johnson, 42, of 100 Chilton Road, Williamstown, were each charged with criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, a class E felony.

The two men were stopped at 8:44 p.m. Thursday on a loud exhaust violation, state police said. The ingredients were allegedly found under the passenger floorboards of the vehicle.

Mr. Davis was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, but police could not confirm the identity of the substance.

Both men were arraigned in Amboy Town Court and sent to the Oswego County jail, Oswego. Mr. Johnson is being held on $2,500 cash bail and Mr. Davis on $1,500.
