Watertown- Robert J. Mallette, 54, passed away Tuesday, April 2nd at his residence on St. Mary Street.

He was born in Carthage on December 15, 1959, a son to Francis E. and Bonnie J. Jackson Mallette. He was educated locally, and graduated from Watertown High School in 1978. Although a marriage to Carole Ann Robinson would end in divorce, the couple would remain companions for many years. Mrs. Robinson passed away February 17, 2014.

Robert worked as an auto mechanic at many local dealerships and establishments. He enjoyed listening to music, playing the drums, watching baseball, and automobiles. He will be remembered as a handyman.

Surviving is his son: Robert J Mallette II, Watertown; his mother: Bonnie (Dave) Detwiler, Chaumont; 3 brothers and their spouses: Thomas (Mary), Natural Bridge, Donald (Gina), Branningham, Al (Terri), Watertown; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 8th, 6:00pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. A calling hour from 5:00pm – 6:00pm will precede the service. Spring burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery.
