Lyons Falls couple sent to prison on meth-making charges

LOWVILLE — A Lyons Falls couple was sent to state prison Friday for operating a methamphetamine lab in their apartment in September.

James R. Sees, 41, and his wife, Nicole L., 28, both of High Falls Apartments, 4061 Cherry St., Apt. 3, were both sentenced in Lewis County Court to five years in prison, five years of post-release parole supervision, a six-month driver’s license suspension and $375 apiece in court fees on identical charges of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, to which they pleaded guilty Jan. 24. Mr. Sees also was ordered to pay $1,540 restitution.

The Seeses were accused of operating a meth lab Sept. 3 in their apartment.

An accomplice, Jody A. Kirk Jr., 28, was sentenced March 28 to four years in prison after pleading guilty to the same charge.

Also in Lewis County Court on Friday:

Francis T. Wadsworth, 41, of 7159 Murphy Road, Port Leyden, was arraigned on charges of fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child and pleaded guilty to child endangerment, satisfying the drug charge. Sentencing is May 16.

He was accused of giving marijuana to a minor on Oct. 12 in the town of Lyonsdale.

Kayleigh I. Arnold, 22, of 6910 Convent St., Croghan, was arraigned on two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and pleaded guilty to the charges. Sentencing was set for May 30.

She was accused of possessing forged checks belonging to Tammy Leeder on Feb. 2 and 3 in the village of Lowville.

Christina Doner, 22, Williamstown, had her case of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine adjourned to April 11.

She was accused of possessing equipment and drug-making materials May 7 at a West Turin residence.
