Gouverneur - Jeanette Wylie, age 77, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

Funeral services are private with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.

Jeanette was born in Theresa on August 28, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Violet Kellison Versailles.

She graduated from Antwerp High School in 1956 and was a homemaker most of her life.

On June 8, 1962, Jeanette married Delbert F. Wylie at the Edwards United Methodist Church.

Jeanette enjoyed attending garage sales, playing cards and board games, gardening, reading books, and spending time with her family.

Jeanette is survived by her husband Delbert, her children Robin and Vilma Versailles of Valdosta, GA, Robert Versailles of Antwerp, Everett and Bonnie Wylie of Antwerp, Eugene and Jolene Wylie of Gouverneur, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Cecelia McCall of Donaldsville, GA, Bonnie Hull of Oxbow, Frank Versailles of Oxbow, Patricia Burns of Theresa, several nieces and nephews. Jeanette is predeceased by her parents, a brother Joseph Versailles, two sisters Joan Mack and Shirley Burns, a brother-in-law Gene Jackson, grandchildren Robert Versailles Jr. and Shannon Rafferty, and two half brothers Donald and William Fuller.

Memorial donations in Jeanette’s memory may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US Hwy. 11, Potsdam, NY 13676.
