Dexter man charged with stealing and selling roommate’s video games

WATERTOWN — City police arrested a Dexter man after they said he stole eight XBox games from his roommate and subsequently sold them.

Michael J. Shawcross, 18, whose address was listed as 17660 Evans Road, Dexter, stole the games from Joseph L. Reyes Jr., of 221 Clinton St., where the two were living, police said.

At about 6 p.m. on April 2, Mr. Shawcross took the games from the residence and brought them to the Stream building, 146 Arsenal St., where he apparently sold them, police said.

He turned himself in at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of petit larceny. Police did not give a value for the games.

He was issued an appearance ticket to City Court.
