WATERTOWN City police arrested a Watertown man Tuesday morning and charged him with three counts of harassment and single counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest following a series of incidents at his residence.
John B. Boulton, 48, of 211 Parker St., scratched the arms of Shawn M. OConnor, of 409 S. Mechanic St., Carthage, at the Parker Street residence at about 9 a.m., police said. At the same time and place, Mr. Boulton also was accused of punching Steven P. Hemenway, of 209 E. Division St., in the face and kicking him twice in the head.
After police responded to the scene at about 9:20 a.m., Mr. Boulton allegedly struggled with officers, including kicking Patrolman William K. Rafferty in the leg, and dropped to the ground to avoid being placed in the police vehicle. While inside the vehicle, Mr. Boulton proceeded to repeatedly kick the door window in an attempt to break it, police said.
Officer Rafferty was not injured.
Mr. Boulton was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held pending arraignment in City Court.
