The Winter Horseshoe League at Dougs Tavern came to a close on Saturday at the Ogdensburg AmVets Post with the 2013-14 awards ceremony.
Dawsons Meat Cutting captained by Tom Dawson and made up of Kayla Ashley, Andrew Wynne, Jerry Smith, Ray Ewart, and Ron Zeller took top honors with 95 wins.
Mert Haynes won two prestigous awards, the Leagues Sportsmanship Award and the High Average. Roger Brothers took home the Most Heart-Least Score Horses Butt award for the season. Tom Dawson was the Top Ringers performer while Mark Smithg and Tony Simmons shared High Single. Junior Mack had the Most Wins on the season. Diane George earned the Most Improved award.
