What a shame the Watertown High School Athletic Department and the administration do not realize that it is all about the children.
It is not about the win/loss stats, and it is not about personality conflicts. It is about the caring and the opportunities we can give our kids both on and off the field.
I have personally seen the commitment made by Coach Vince Williams. Vince is in the weight room daily with his kids, and he teaches them the importance of commitment. He works the program all year, not just during the football season.
To dismiss him as head football coach is truly the wrong decision for our kids. This is why our hockey program at Watertown High School died, and I hope we do not see our football program die, too.
The wrong choice was made. Shame on you; remember, it is about the kids. They love, respect and respond to Coach Williams.
