ADAMSState police responded to South Main Street and County Route 189 in the village Thursday night to assist a driver who had gotten his truck stuck in the mud.
When troopers arrived on the scene at 7:50 p.m., they discovered that the driver, Francis E. Overton, 73, of 21468 County Route 189, Lorraine, was intoxicated, police said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to use designated lane. His blood alcohol content was 0.15 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication under state law.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Village Court.
