Watertown Musicales will host a recital, featuring organist Jason Comet, at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church, 403 Washington St.
Mr. Comet, owner and founder of Comet Music Studio, Watertown, will perform live organ accompaniment to the silent comedy film Dr. Pyckle and Mr. Pryde, featuring Stan Laurel. Mr. Comet and a musical colleague began searching last year for folios of music specifically for silent films.
The vocal ensemble Stage Notes also will perform, featuring selections from its upcoming production, Les Miserables. The group will perform the musical from July 9 to 12 at Jefferson Community Colleges Sturtz Theater to benefit the Watertown Urban Mission.
Mondays recital is free.
