Motorists charged with DWI offenses

The following motorists are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Stephen G. Olmstead, 32, Chase Mills, was charged by state police with felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation and operating a vehicle without an interlock device.

Police said Mr. Olmstead’s vehicle went off the road on North Raquette River Road in Massena.

Mr. Olmstead, whose license had been suspended because of two previous DWI convictions in 10 years, was operating a vehicle without an interlock device, a class A misdemeanor, police said.

His blood alcohol content was not available because he refused to take a breath test, police said.

He is being held at St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Massena Town Court.

n Luther Coit, 24, of 21699 Heather Acres Drive, Watertown, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday on Route 342 in the town of LeRay by Watertown City Police and charged with driving while intoxicated. Police said Mr. Coit was observed swerving between lanes. His blood alcohol content was 0.09 percent, police said. A BAC of 0.08 percent constitutes proof of intoxication under state law. He was issued an appearance ticket to LeRay Town Court.
