Syracuse woman reports robbery, charged with prostitution

WATERTOWN — Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies said a woman called to report that a man she was paid to have sex with robbed her Saturday morning.

When sheriff’s deputies responded to room 301 at the Days Inn, 25940 Route 11, LeRay, the man was no longer there, but the woman, Imani K. Williams, 23, of 303 Graves St., Syracuse, was there and subsequently arrested on a prostitution charge.

Deputies said that at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, Ms. Williams was paid $100 to have sexual intercourse and perform oral sex on the man.

While there, she reported that the man stole about $350 in cash from her. Deputy Jamie Taylor said the sheriff’s department is still gathering evidence from the hotel room for an ongoing investigation into the alleged robbery and that the man’s identity and whereabouts are still unknown.

She was charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor.
