PULASKI — State police arrested Frank F. Britton, 28, of 3839 Rome Road, after they said he struck his ex-girlfriend and damaged her vehicle.

Police said he damaged her vehicle, as well as a sign at her residence, at 12:25 p.m. Friday at a Hogs Back Road residence in the town of Hastings. During the incident, Mr. Britton struck the woman, violating an order of protection, police said. The value of the damage is not known.

He was arrested at 1:27 p.m. Friday and charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Police could not specify which court Mr. Britton is to appear in to answer the charges.
