WATERTOWN — The Watertown Downtown Business Association is seeking volunteers for Operation Clean Sweep, an annual spring cleanup of the city’s downtown area, set for May 10.

From 9 to 11 a.m., volunteers and local businesses will “freshen up” Public Square and sections of Washington, Factory, Franklin, Court and State streets.

Participants are asked to bring their own brooms and gloves. Trash bags, refreshments and food will be provided to all volunteers.

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. at the historic Paddock Arcade, 1 Public Square.

Volunteers also can preregister by contacting Watertown DBA President David Winters at 405-0142 or by email at info@publicsquare.com.
