Motorists charged with DWI offenses

The following motorists are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

n Brian J. Piarulli, 23, of 15747 County Route 156, Watertown, also was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies stopped him for allegedly speeding at 3:42 a.m. Saturday on Route 12F in the town of Hounsfield.

His blood alcohol content was 0.10 percent, they said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes proof of intoxication under state law. He reportedly told deputies that he had “a few” beers at a bar and was driving home from a friend’s house. He is to answer the charges in Hounsfield Town Court.

n Christian M. Bovee, 36, of 15451 County Route 91, Pierrepont Manor, was charged with aggravated DWI, driving while using a mobile phone and moving from lane unsafely. State police stopped Mr. Bovee on South Main Street in the village of Adams at 12:46 a.m. Sunday after they said he was observed operating erratically and leaving his lane multiple times.

His BAC was 0.26 percent, police said. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

He is to appear in village of Adams Court.

nDonna M. Cline, 56, of 38 Beach St., Massena, was charged by village police Saturday night after she was pulled over on Beach Street. Her BAC was not available because she refused a breath test, police said.
