Police: Harrisville man brought gun to bowling alley, threatened patron

HARRISVILLE—State police said a Harrisville man brought a Glock Model 30 handgun to Harrisville Lanes & Lounge, 14160 Church St., and menaced another person.

Thorn T. Wimer, 22, of 567 Route 3, initially was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after a glass pipe containing marijuana residue was found in his possession during a pat-down by troopers about 10 p.m. Wednesday. At that time, police were informed of the menacing and the handgun. After two additional units were called to the scene, the gun, along with four rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, was found.

He was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child, as there were minors in the bowling alley at the time.

He was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and arraigned in Diana Town Court, then taken to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $2,500 bail.
